It's time that Connecticut joined 13 other states who have enacted anti-discrimination laws for transgender people.
Transgender people face widespread and pervasive discrimination. They can be fired from their jobs or evicted from their homes just for being transgender, and Connecticut law needs to change that. Love Makes a Family is collaborating with the CT TransAdvocacy, CWEALF and other members of the Anti-Discrimination Coalition to pass the anti-discrimination bill in 2009.
Read the bill: HB6452: AN ACT CONCERNING DISCRIMINATION. To prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity or expression. Contact your legislator! Click the "take action" button and urge them to support protections for transgender and gender non-conforming citizens of CT.
